The University Health Service is available to all members of the USW community regardless of which GP they are registered with. Please register with USW’s Health Service.

If possible, please book your appointment in advance. If you show up for a drop-in rather than a booked appointment, you risk not being able to see a nurse. Only 6 people per available nurse will be seen during advertised drop-in session, based on a first come first served basis.

Cardiff Campus

Important Information regarding the Atrium GP clinic for All Students at the Atrium Campus

As of Sept 2017 there will NO longer be a visiting GP service at the Atrium
Returning Students – who have previously been registered with the GP service at the campus (Llanederyn Surgery) will now need to register with an alternative GP surgery. You will receive a letter at some point telling you that you will no longer be able to access the GP service at this surgery,
• Please use the following link to use your Cardiff address postcode to find out the nearest surgery to where you are going to be living during 2017-18. http://www.wales.nhs.uk/.
• Contact your chosen GP surgery and contact them to request to register with them as soon as possible. You will need Your NHS number (this can be found on your medical card or a repeat medication prescription or any hospital letters you may have received) as well as proof of identity and a Utility bill with your new address on. In addition, you will need the name and address of your previous GP . This will be

The University of South Wales has a nurse led Health Service based on the Pontypridd Campus. Nurse-led appointments and drop in sessions are available at Pontypridd and Newport City Campus offering a wide range of services to all members of the University. The University Health Service is available to all members of the USW community Wales regardless of which GP they are registered with. Registration appointments are available online via Unilife or by accessing advertised drop in sessions on Unilife.
Please note that the University Health Service primarily offers a term time service. A reduced service is offered during the Summer, please see Unilife for available appointments

To make an appointment once registered with Llanedeyrn Health Centre please call 02920 541242. Alternatively, you can use the free phone located on the ground floor of the Cardiff Campus which will ring through directly to the Llanedeyrn Health Centre. Please note, it is not possible for appointments to be made through the Cardiff Advice Centre. If you require assistance outside these hours, please telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
